It took me a while to figure out who was digging up my seedlings. Then one morning I saw the culprit! My new friend hung around the gardens for quite a while.

Our historic farmhouse was once the hub of a large dairy farm just west of Asheville. Later, the house served as a waystation for the railroad depot. Over the years, much of the farm's rich creekside bottom land was sold off for commercial, industrial, and residential developments. We hope to maintain a few acres of this farmland as a testament to the area's rich agricultural heritage, as well as to provide an oasis for guests, friends, and neighbors, where healthful food and abundant flower gardens nourish body and soul.
